Sunday Morning Children's Ministry

Childcare

Nursery is available downstairs during worship services for children under two years old and is well staffed with volunteers. The “quiet” room upstairs is available for parents who want to care for their children but wish to hear and see the worship service.

Little Lambs

Little Lambs is available for two-year-old children during the entire worship service. Little Lambs is located downstairs.

Sunday School

Sunday School is available for children ages 3 (“beginners”) through grade 8. Sunday School students are dismissed partway through the worship service, at which point they leave the sanctuary and meet in classrooms downstairs.

We have over a hundred kids in our Sunday School program!

Other Ministries

Children’s Worship

Once a month during the school year, Sunday School classes from grade 3 to grade 5 join together for Children’s Worship downstairs. Children’s Worship is usually led by one of our pastors.

Story Hour

For children 3 to 5 years of age. They hear and participate in a Bible story, make a craft and sing songs. For the 2 year olds, the Little Lambs class offers more play than structure. Wednesday Mornings from 9:45-11:00am (Thanksgiving to Easter)

Sermon Discussions

On Sundays that we have Children’s Worship, grade 6 to grade 8 students stay in worship and then have a sermon discussion together downstairs immediately following the sermon.

Seasonal Ministries

Vacation Bible School

Each July, several Drayton-area churches work together to host and run a one-week Vacation Bible School. This epic African adventure engages the whole herd July 8-12, 2019. At VBS Roar, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life.

Countryside Camp

As the summer camp ministry of Countryside Camp and Conference Centre, Camp Shalom strives to provide campers and special support guests with fun and educational programming in a safe, accepting and, above all, Christ-centered environment.

SU Sport Camp

The week is packed with skill development, drills, games, scrimmages and awards, as the campers rotate through 3 sports; basketball, ball hockey and soccer. The emphasis is on campers having a blast while learning core skills, gaining confidence on the field/court and making new friends.
